Photovoltaic

Glaston offers a flexible integrated concept for manufacturing Photovoltaic (PV) collector glass for both silicon wafer and thin film applications and integrated or stand-alone solutions for manufacturing parabolic bent glass and mirrors. Glaston Tamglass CHF Pro™ is especially developed for PV solar and architectural glass tempering where the highest glass quality and capacities are necessary. Design is based on Glaston’s innovations in convection heating technology, featuring control systems to reduce overall energy consumption and improved product quality.

Concentrated Solar Power

Glaston’s bending equipment solutions service all Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) applications, including trough collectors, dish-type systems and Fresnel type collectors. Glaston Tamglass ESU EcoPower™ automatic bending furnace shapes the glass at the focal point of the solar reflector with extreme accuracy. The furnace features serial bending with radiation and heat recovery assisted convection for a precise, energy-efficient process. Glaston Tamglass SyncroBend™ represents a high-capacity solution to bend and temper spherical shapes without any tooling.

For pre processing of the glass Glaston Bavelloni V Series Double Edging machines with peripheral wheels are suitable for grinding glass of medium/small thickness and offer higher performance and superior quality in Solar panel production. Glaston Bavelloni PowerSeam is the Glaston solution for automatic high speed edge seaming (arrising) in Solar panel production. Glaston Bavelloni Solar diamond and polishing tools are available to complete the Glaston Bavelloni offering of advanced glass processing solutions for the solar industry.
