Improved Edge Compression (IEC™)
for Tamglass ESU type bending furnaces

This upgrade for the ESU bending furnaces has been developed for the need of enhanced glass edge compression.

More efficient cooling in the annealing section is the most efficient solution for achieving the required edge compression of the windshields.

In the improved edge compression system the factory air is conducted to an air-air heat exchanger located inside the furnace.

The heat exchanger having more cooling surface and air volume than in a standard model provides more cooling power.

Bigger temperature difference between the bottom of the final bending section and the annealing section results to improved edge compression.
