Impala Glass Ind. Ltd, Kenya

Over the years, Impala Glass Industries Ltd in Kenya has purchased numerous glass processing machines from Tamglass, ageing anywhere from 10 to 20 years. Despite their age, the machines are in prime working condition, thanks to Glaston upgrades, a Glaston service agreement and dedicated operational care from the Impala Glass staff.

In 2009, the company underwent a successful control system upgrade for its 15-year-old Tamglass Tempering and Bending System to ensure that it was working according to today’s demanding levels of performance.

Murtaza Hebatullah, Finance Director, has handled Glaston service for the last 10 years: “All of the company’s machines are included as part of the long-term Glaston Care service agreement, including 3 main Tamglass machines and 5 Bavelloni machines. Impala Glass Industries Ltd, founded approximately 54 years ago by the grandfather of M.S. Hebatullah, is a well-known manufacturer of laminated windscreen glass and toughed sideline glass in Kenya. Automotive products represent approximately 60% of the company’s portfolio; the remaining 40% is architectural safety glass.
